Check out Spin or Bin Music's review of Sting's concert in Singapore...
It maybe a rainy Thursday night, but that didn't dampen the spirits of thousands of fans at Sting's 'Back To Bass' World Tour concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The man himself appeared at 8.30 pm sharp and clad in a simple grey shirt and jeans, he opened the stage with crowd favourite 'If I Ever Lose My Faith In You'. Backed by an impressive five-piece band, Sting's legendary bass skills and rich vocals quickly got his fans to jump (yes, jump!) and sway wildly in their seats. All the ladies were soon swooning over the 61-year-old Sting (Dude didn't look a day over 30) as he belted out 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic' next. That track was later followed up by 'Englishman In New York', and the atmosphere got really heated with everyone chorusing and clapping to the song...

Sting was full of power and energy when performing the Bangkok concert as part of his Back to Bass Tour on Wednesday night. The English singer-songwriter sang powerfully and played his bass energetically almost non-stop during the two-hour concert at the 12,000-seat Impact Arena, which was slightly more than half full. For a man 61 years of age, that was fantastic. Yet Sting - whose real name is Gordon Sumner - still has a physique and energy enviable to most men his age. He was involved in every one of the 22 songs performed that night and took only brief breaks during the three encores featuring five songs, including 'Every Breath You Take' and 'Next to You' - the classic hits from his time with the Police. Englishman in Manila - reports Business World Online...
With a bass guitar slung over his shoulder, his fingers plucking, his hips rocking and his kicks languidly ''moon-walking'' (his own version), Sting (real name Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner) can still teach a thing or two about dominating a stage and leaving a stadium filled to the rafters with fans screaming for more. At 61, the man who cheekily convinced the world that Tantric yoga leads to smoking in bed is possibly the most charismatic, and the sexiest, sexagenarian alive. For third time, Sting wows Manila reports ABS-CBNnews...
Life is fleeting, and humans are but a speck in the vastness of time and space. This reality again struck Filipinos when floods caused by typhoon "Pablo" swept away precious lives merely a few days before the Manila leg of Sting's "Back to Bass" tour. Thus Sting's last song was a fitting way to pay tribute to the victims. "Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away, but something in our minds will always stay," Sting sang, compelling the Araneta Coliseum to at least subdued excitement out of respect for the dead. The solemn lyrics of 'Fragile', which speak of mortality, violence and war, capped a memorable concert punctuated by the performances of musical greats such as drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, who Sting candidly referred to as "possibly the greatest drummer in the world," Sting's longtime guitarist Dominic Miller, violinist Peter Tickell (who also played the mandolin), vocalist Jo Lawry, and keyboardist David Sancious...

Time Out review Sting's recent Hong Kong concert...
The man’s still got it. That is, that intangible factor that separates regular musicians from living legends. Long ago, the man born Gordon Sumner cemented his superstar status by amassing one hit after another in a career that has spanned decades. And even after taking a long sabbatical from his rock persona - choosing to pursue symphonic and new-age projects in his time - at the HKCEC in his return to Hong Kong with his Back to Bass tour, Sting showed that, after all this time, yes... he's still got it. Pulling the expected double duty of singer and bassist, he performed a host of his classic monstrous hits permanently etched in our brains both from his early days with The Police and as a solo artist. The musician, songwriter and singer took over the Beirut stage with his band for more than two hours. For one night only and for the second time in Beirut, Sting performed some of his greatest tunes. The venue echoed with 'Message in a Bottle', 'Roxanne', 'End of the Game', and 'Hounds of Winter'. With the first notes of 'Englishman in New York', the audience hailed and began singing along with the chorus - which appeared to make the star emotional.
